Recently, there has been a lot of discussion by the SERS Board as well as by City employees about Hybrid Service. Hybrid service means that some years worked by a career employee were part-time and some were full-time.
Currently when they retire, hybrid employees working full-time would receive a full pension, as if they worked all those years as full time employee.

Welcome to the TPOAM City of Southfield Career Employees Union.
The TPOAM City of Southfield Career Employees Union began in May 2004 to give City employees a voice of advocacy for changes that affect their workplace. It took many years of effort to create this group, so your membership and participation is warmly invited. The TPOAM Career Employees are the single largest organized group among the City’s workers.
Please take a moment and register on our Bulletin Board to keep up to date with the latest events.
Our membership meetings take place in January, March and October and as needed.
Look over the current Contract, Bylaws and a listing of current Stewards and Officers. Please contact any Steward or Officer whenever you have questions or concerns about your role in the workplace.
Again, welcome to our new website. We look forward to communicating more efficiently with this tool!
